I have an 02 impala 3.4L that the AC went out on. After some trouble shooting I see that the AC condenser is not kicking on. So, I check the fuse and sure enough blown. I am so stoked until a minute later it blows the second. I have no idea on trouble shooting electrical... Any else happen to?

    Any freon leaks?

It could be that your fan clutch went out.

No leaks, a short I think or maybe another reason the AC compressor fuse is blowing?

    You can check the fuse.
That will be your safest bet. If it isn't the fuse it will probably be the compressor. Easy way to tell is when you turn your AC on, you would be able to hear the compressor kick on after a few seconds which means that it works.

Yeah I checked the fuse and it was blown. Then I replaced it and it blew again.

are you swapping the fuse with the car running and the ac on?

start the car and see if it blows immediately with the AC off. then turn on the AC check for the audible noise of the AC compressor turning on or if it blows as soon as you select the AC

It sounds to me like you have an exposed wire somewhere that could be arching.

I turned off the car and AC. Then turned on the car and then AC, it runs for a mintue or two then blows again.
