Any comments on CPR HOB skimmers?

Anyone have any input on the CPR h.o.b. skimmers? Found a good deal on one, was wondering if anybody has had any experience with them?

 

I have heard nothing on the CPR HOB skimmer. However, I have heard lots of good things about the AquaC Remora HOB. Look into that as well.

 

Not rying to be rude or anything but Im not really looking for suggestions on other brands. I know someone that wants to sell me one NIB for $40 (they usually go for about $140). I was just wondering if its a decent skimmer. If not, I already know what I am going to get

i had one....junk, replaced it with aqua c remora

 

$40 you can't beat that...I have heard that you may need to bubble trap ($19) and the pre-skimmer ($19) though.

 

I had one on my 20 gallon reef tank. It seemed to help, but I would recondmend the skimmer box if it doesn't have it. What size tank are you going to use it on?

Think a lightly stock reef it would be fine, and for $40 should be a good deal. Does it come with a the skimmer box?

 

Not that I know of. Sounds like a POS skimmer from the comments. Think I'll skip on this and just get an octopus, since I heard those work great. I'd rather have something that works as is without having to add a bunch of additional stuff to it. Thanks for the comments guys!
