Anyone have any input on the CPR h.o.b. skimmers? Found a good deal on one, was wondering if anybody has had any experience with them?

I have heard nothing on the CPR HOB skimmer. However, I have heard lots of good things about the AquaC Remora HOB. Look into that as well.

Not rying to be rude or anything :p but Im not really looking for suggestions on other brands. I know someone that wants to sell me one NIB for $40 (they usually go for about $140). I was just wondering if its a decent skimmer. If not, I already know what I am going to get ;)

$40 you can't beat that...I have heard that you may need to bubble trap ($19) and the pre-skimmer ($19) though.

I had one on my 20 gallon reef tank. It seemed to help, but I would recondmend the skimmer box if it doesn't have it. What size tank are you going to use it on?

Think a lightly stock reef it would be fine, and for $40 should be a good deal. Does it come with a the skimmer box?

Not that I know of. Sounds like a POS skimmer from the comments. Think I'll skip on this and just get an octopus, since I heard those work great. I'd rather have something that works as is without having to add a bunch of additional stuff to it. Thanks for the comments guys!
