i am looking for a coral or anemone that needs no special lighting for it to live. i have a 30 gallon tanks that has been up for three months. 2 clowns and a dwarf zebra lionfish are the current inhabitants (and cleanup crew) with 20 lbs of live rock and a filter for a 75 gallon tank. i have one 20 watt actinic T8 and one 20 watt normal T8. thanks in advance!

There are quite a few corals that require no lighting. However, I would not recommend them to anyone but the most experienced reefer.

You might be able to keep some softies with that lighting.... mushrooms, polyps, zoas, etc.....
Not 100 on that though (never dealt with t-8s), someone else should chime in.

Sun coral, dendros but they need to be hand fed and require prestine water quality, with out a skimmer id so its a no go. I would try some Green star polyps first

if you could double up on the T8s and have 4 tubes - then you could also look at
Mushrooms, Zoanthids, Anthelia, clove polyps, yellow polyps, finger leathers, colt corals
    toadstools

I dont know for certain that these species above would not be OK under 2 x T8s

I do know from experience, the species listed above did very nicely under 4 x T8s

If you choose to save that money you would be spending on corals until you can upgrade your lights you will be very happy you did.You will have a lot more choices when you do add the corals and they will do much better in your tank, you could add small, much cheaper frags, and watch them grow, which is really cool!!

Have you checked CraigsList? Sometimes you can come across great deals, but you might have to be creative with your wording/spelling. I recently found a 150w MH for $100.
