So because 3reef has always been so helpful in like everything figured i'd try my luck here...
I have a 1.5 year old Whirl Pool Quiet partner II dishwasher that wont start. The Start/Pause light will flash repeatedly when pressed. It also did not complete the last cycle, i had trouble getting it to drain for a while but may have simply been impatience and i did finally get it to drain.

    I have:
Cut power to the unit to "reboot"
Checked the float switch for free movement
entered and exited the diagnostic mode, all the lights come on and stay on... after about 10-20 seconds i exited by pressing cancel. no change.

Googling hasn't led to any solutions, the most common blinking problem is the Clean light in a specific pattern however, that's not what i'm getting...

    Thanks guys

If you have to replace it, get a Bosch. They are great! We have a 4 year old samsung refrigerator that we got at Lowes with the extended warranty and they have replaced the seal and ice maker in it around 8 times for free and if it breaks again they will give us the money to buy a new one of our choice. I do not recommend samsung though.

go around the entire seal of the dishwasher and look for the metal to be raised just a little. Sounds to me like it might be the sensor that checks to make sure your dishwasher is closed fully. If it doesn't believe it's closed it's going to stop any action (Could be causing the draining issues and inability to start).
