    ive been reading around and such and realized how many famous people in american history were freemasons. i would like to know how to become one, any free masons on here?

    I may be wrong but I think it has probably degraded to a frat for social elite(rich families) by now.

    Freemasons are not a secret society, they are a society with secrets. there is an estimate of over 5 million free masons in the world. that seems hardly like a secret society to me lol. A secret society is like the bilderberg group.

    No, you don't. It's also not a secret society. There are local lodges pretty much everywhere. You find a lodge, apply, and then they recommend whether or not you are eligible to join providing you meet the criteria. Freemasons also contribute a great deal to charity.
