Love to Hunt and fish. Here in NY there isnt the best deer hunting but I still love it. I love the time spent in the woods. I love archery hunting. Nothing beats having a whitetail directly under your stand. I do also rifle hunt with my 270. The weather, hunting, holidays all combine to make fall my favorite time of year. I can say one good thing about NY and the Adirondack park is amazing to drive through during the changing seasons. The leaves changing make the views even better. My 2cents on Hunting and NY.

I know alot of hunters, yet I know no one who doesn't eat what they kill when hunting most animals. There is some exception with predator hunting but this is a means of controling an otherwise overpopulated species such as a coyote (think snakehead). You should do some research on how many native americans are very much doing excactly what you were afraid hunters do. The few do not represent the many but many native americans are exploiting their lack or regulation in hunting priveleges and they end up wasting everything but the horns. I can show you mounds of evidence if you would like... hunting it survival of the fitest at its best!

No one does that. People who don't hunt seem to have that perception. Yes, people go hunting for sport here and all around the world.. There's nothing like staring down the sights at a big buck (or animal of your choosing), its a great adrenaline rush. Whether the people process and eat the meat themselves, or it gets donated, the meat always gets used. People who hunt just to kill and throw out the carcass are called poachers.
