    Hydonopora (aka horn coral). Definitely packs a stronger punch than most sps corals.

    hydnophora. It is an SPS coral and that will sting anything near it.

    I have 2 of them and one shot its tentacles across an entire rock and stung my acans. I have both of them banished to the back corners of my tank.

    I love mine...but will definately sting anything around it

    Thanks everyone!!

    I USED to buy corals on appearance and this one looked good. That was then -Now (as I should have in the past) I reasearch what goes into the tank. Its funny (actually sad from a monetary stand point) how many original inhabitants no longer reside.

    This one will be given an eviction notice, as well as the 2 frags I have created from "re-doing" my aquascape-LOL.

    Growing like a weed but for the real estate it needs -I dont think so.

    Thanks again everyone!;D

    definitely packs a strong punch.... about a 4 months ago I purchased a nice size frag of hydnophora and placed it in my tank. Well it wasnt securely placed. Water flow pushed it out of place and it landed on my orange monti cap mother colony. Killed a huge spot in where it had landed. Left nothing but a white spot. Fragged off that portion.

    Even though its pretty lethal... I still like it in my tank. No other coral looks like it.

    Thanks for the compliment, actullay getting used to my digi cam and getting some real nice shots of the "neighborhood" Thats actually an older photo, its much larger and a little different shaped, like I mentioned I was moving some things around and broke off the tip into 2 pieces, I glued them to rubble and now how 2 frags doing well. Its starting to encrust the rock so it may be more difficult to remove.

    I like this frag I just got Tyree Royal Plum is what I bought it as;

    And this one Lemon-Lime Mili Acro;

    Very pretty corals! Are you evicting the hydno because you don't have enough room to keep it separated from your other corals?
