tiny white circular things are coming out of one of my torches. they seem to be connected by nearly invisible mucus strands. Torch was acting a bit strange during lights out earlier. kept closing VERY tight then opening almost all the way with its mouth open.

neither of the other torches are doing anything strange. just bought this one about 2 weeks ago. The one on the left is the strangish one. tiny white things are almost center between the 2 torches.

    A spawning event?

Do they receive any natural moon light?

No moonlight. lights run 4pm to 4am. gets a tiny bit of light during the day tho. That would be awesome if it was spawning. I just paid $79 for that one head. you can't tell under my craptastic lights (can't wait till my new ones are set up) but that is a gold torch with light blue tips under the right lighting:)

Is there anything I can do to help the babies survive or should I just leave it alone?

You might get lucky and have one land, settle and attach to some rock work. It would be pretty neat. Good luck!

I love when stuff like this happens. when I first started FW one of my platys had babies. not many lived, but it was a great experience. Hopefully at least one of the torch spawn live. That would be awesome:) Corailline will be the godmother;)

have to go to a party now. happy and safe new years all!
