Any idea what this is?

And if I got a good deal? lol. I paid $30 for it, and neither myself or the seller are sure what it is. He had ordered something else and it appears had received a substitute.

SO. . . what is the pretty thing, and what on earth is the white blobby thing next to it? The pretty thing is about 1 1/2" across the top.

if its 1.5" in diameter, looks like a tiny tiny lobo, maybe a small cynaria or scolymia. take a pic directly from the top. the white blob on the side looks like a dieing/dead button polyp

The white thing is very shiny, and almost looks like something might be inside of it.

 

my thoughts

candy cane coral glued or attached to a crazzzy shell like a conk or sumthing...i use old turbo shells 4 my kenya and xenia frags. the combo is a good look.

Is the blob hard or soft? It may be a tunicate?

 

does the turquoise one in question ever seem to have a stem of sorts??

 

The blob is kind of hard, but not like a shell. It has a little it of give if you poke on it.
