Any ideas on how to stop Air Bubbles in U Tube

    yes if your return pump out of your sump is too small you need a larger one. not a pump in your overflow box just a bigger return pump

    Its always nice to have a larger return pump than you need throttled back (with a valve) and hooked to some kind of a manifold for anything you want to add in later on.

    Thanks for that. Will, Jeff, what is the best brand ans size for me to buy. I have a 20L Sump, 180 G tank. Is Eheim good?

    Something around 2000 gph should work just fine like a mag 18 / 24. eheims, I heard, are great pumps . . . well built and very quiet but a little pricey. a 900 gph eheim pump will run you around $175 where as a mag 24 (2400 gph) will run you around the same, much cheaper 2nd hand.

    What are you using now for a return pump?

    What would the airline tubing have to do with the siphon? When I unplug that return pump and then plug it back in a while later it starts siphoning again on its own. Thats why I have a check valve on the tubing - this way the U-tube can't pull any air from it.
