Any ideas what could cause such a sudden ph drop?

    Tested ph this morning around 2 hours after lights on like I normally do generally it's at 8.0 at this time, has been for a long time this morning we were at 7.4

    Tested everything else it's as follows only thing that's off is Alk it's normally 11
    Temp79
    Sg 1.026
    Ph 7.4
    Ammo 0
    Nitrate 0
    Nitrite 0
    Phos 0
    Ca 440
    Mg 1300
    Alk 8

    Tank has 3 squareback anthia a firefish and orange back wrasse it's the 125

    Can't seem to figure out the low ph?

    Last maintenance was 6 days ago, 10 gallon wc, and new carbon

    Sounds like carbon dioxide buildup. Have you closed off any doors or windows that are normally open? Any pumps or skimmer malfunction? Anything change that would affect water flow or oxygenation?

    I think you hit it on the head, my pump died on skimmer 3 days ago. Ordered a new one it just came in the mail today, PH is up to 7.8 but everything is ridiculously stressed.

    Just placed a second ordre for a back up pump too.
