    No not really, hmmm.

Looks like a Mollusk, if I had to guess I would say chiton or limpet.

If it does not move or react to being touched, sponge vs possible development of tunicates.

Yeah so I have no clue, but very interesting..

It is entirely soft bodied. No shell. I know I have several as I've seen them before but mistook a cluster I saw (under my clam) for stomatella. I saw this guy move about a bit then come loose from the scraper. He could not swim at all. He made it onto the sand without getting picked at by the fish and wandered off.

The head, incidentally, is to the right. Two small feelers popped up when he started moving.

Ahhh so it's a sea slug? Not sure if it accurately falls under Nudibranch. Even more interesting, I wonder what you have in your tank that is sustaining the population food wise.
Keep an eye out for precisely where you find them.

    Very cool

Well right now the tank is fairly new, so I'm hoping its sustained by my collection of hideous nuinsance algae. Sadly, I expect not.

Is someone playing a joke on you? At first glance i thought it was one of those halloween scar making kit prosthetics
But really, those Carambe nudis look pretty similar, cool :)

Yeah, it's a cool critter, and is probably harmless. It's not one that I recognize offhand, but some photos in a shallow dish of water from a few different angles might let me narrow it down. It does look a lot like a Corambe as Corailline suggests, but I think all of those are cool water/temperate species, so it might just be a relative. Does it have an exposed feathery gill on the dorsum? There are a couple of species of Hallaxa that are reminiscent of yours, but neither is a perfect match with the string of white dots near the edge of the foot or mantle.
