thank you for realizing this on your own, K+. i've been biting my tounge on some of the other suggestions that have been thrown around by *certain people*, but to be honest i'm surprised you weren't advised to toss in a sting ray or a panther grouper.

hmm weird if u have a problem with my adivce say it, nothings is wrong with a less then a inch panther grouper in a 55 for a year i have a 125 in the basement first off, second off a clown tang thats small would be fine at first, if he plans on upgrading that would be fine if not hten dont get it. you seem to have a real additude whats ur deal.

a clown tang at first would be fine, they wont go after the other tangs as they are not similar in looks. My buddy has a clown tang, purple tang, and a couple others in his 150 with NO problems.

So are u also going to tell me that my 3 pairs of clowns in my 180 cant co exist lol seeing as they have for over 6 months??? just wondering

Get a cleaner shrimp! They are awesome and will clean your tangs. Clown pairs are very common but still cool. Gobies are also really interesting charectors, but you need some sort of top to keep them in.

Cleaner shrimp are awsome! They are one of the more active shrimp for reef tanks! mine has a lil "cleaning" station that the fish will go to and get cleaned, its cool its like a lil car wash for fish lol

Just as a reminder, we're all here to help each other. Let's remember that.

In any regard, it's ok to disagree with someone nicely. For instance, "I don't think a XYZ would be a good choice because........"

    Thanks

    Thats what I was doing

I'm sure your 20" panther grouper will be very happy and healthy shoe horned in a 18" wide tank

Thats easy enough to say now, but he never said anything about upgrading

Bad advice makes me irratable. I read your post as "put this tang thats very aggressive, gets 15" and has a horrible survival rate in captivity in your newly setup 90". This isn't the first thing you've said stocking wise that made me cringe.

now that this is done with, lets get this thread back on track

An upgrade was mentioned. People fighting on a hobbiest board makes ME irritable so let's just all try to play nice and get on with it.
