    ok so i got a sea hare and i had him for a week and then all the sudden bam hes dead my params are fine. any ideas on how he died and has anyoen else had experiance with them if so tell. if you havent had direct experience with these animals please do NOT comment

    Most seahare's that i have seen unfornatly die from starvation.. My roomate had a 180gal with tons of hair alge.. The Sea hare did it's job by eating all the hair algae and within about a week after the algae bloom was gone the Hare died..... Keep in mind all cituations can differ from all aspects.. This was my little experance with one..

    thanks but i have a ton of hair algae i dont think he could possibly starve if he wanted to unless he was had a eating disorder lol

    Sounds like your first problem is hair algea, and that you need to fix your water paramters and/or lighting. Buying a sea hare to eat it won't fix your problems.

    From my experiences these animals are VERY touchy, and the slightest change in the tank will cause them to die

    i realize this i have been working on it i just want to know about peoples experiences with sea hares regardless of hair algae in my tank THANK YOU
