Any of you try these for growing corals?

I saw a video on youtube of a guy using 4 of these on his 75 gal. It's a new tank with no corals yet. Have any of you tried these for growing corals?

Well, I may be willing to try one on part of my tank.

 

Since its for gardening, it would probably cause a bunch of nuisance algae. But to even try growing corals with it is doubtful. There is a lot of time put into getting the right lighting to grow corals. Good luck, let us know how it works out if u do it.

 

Im sure it would not grow coral due to the spectrum. Sort of like halogen lights, they are bright but not the proper spectrum.

 

Might be good to supplenent .

 

I'll stick with my radions, but I do know what I'm getting for my flower bed. LOL!
