    I have always been partial to Buck and Gerber. Both seem to hold a good edge and generally are priced better since they are produced on a larger scale.

    I think ka-bar isone of the best knives out there for the price, I personally (if your talking camping/survival) carry the Gerber machetii Jr. along with a knife. Why choose just one?
