any one use ebay leds

Member Vinnyboombatz has had the Taotronics light on his tank for a while now. A quick search should provide his review thread.

I do recall that he purchased two because of their size, but was able to hang one high enough to cover his entire tank. His corals and clams are looking great with them, too.

 

All softies but doing just fine and my electric bill has really gone down.

About ebay leds< they work ok for beginners and for play, I bin used 10wt (9v 1a) on string 5 of them for 7 month. 2-10k, 2-455nm and one (call blue water I would say green water, every thing green under this light). Also I use optics about 45-60degree (lens from ebay ) Compare to cree this is absolutely crap, now I planning rebuild system and will keep only 455nm china(order new ones) and do additional cree. By metermens from other sourse 1led cree XM-L give you same light amount like 2 leds china 10k 10wt my point is china leds for disco in kitchen not for seatank

 

MY LEd Tao Tronics still work awesome.

There ARE many choices these days, some that will custom build it, dimmers, etc.

There are also many threads on these very lights on this forum, others, etc.

MIne 2 x 120W, shipped to my door for about $110 ea. is an awesomne deal, my coral/fish love them.

 

Really? So they're all the same? The popular Taotronics? Smaller light strips? etc?

 

I don't know about Taotronics but in Europian forum this thing was disscuss 1.5-2 years ago and lot of folks agree with use for white sourse cree XM-L, for actinic cree XT-E and bland them little with other colors to bring color up. I tested them and agree.
