    Hi,
I am planning to upgrade my lights on my 60G tank from 4*65W PC to this 48" Sunpod 2x150w 14k powerpaq MH lihtinh. Any suggestion/reviews. Also can this be mounted on a canopy?

    Thanks.

the only thing i ever heard about the sunpod's was that the bulb failed to fire on numerous occasions. it had to do with the connection but i'm sure that current has worked that situation out since (it was when the sunpod's were first offered to the public). besides those few situations, i've heard nothing but positive reviews in regards to the numerous lighting options available with the unit (i.e. blue leds, white leds...).

first review, love it. i had one problem where one bulb did not fire up. after e-mailing Current USA, they responded in 15 minutes saying they would send me a new bulb. They sent me a new bulb in the mail. 2nd bulb did fire up after an hour. Not sure why, must of been a lazy day? But it got me a free $50 bulb!! I even e-mail them back saying it did fire up and they did not stop the shippment. So, awesome customer service. The 18 moon lights easly made me forget about the Actnic Bulbs, no more Flurescent bulbs is a plus. Corals are doing good. lower levels one have bounced back nicely. Pics coming soon. Have not figured how to add them with a Mac.

The only thing is that placing metal halides in a canopy could dramatically heat up your water-aslo possible fire hazzard due to extreme heat generated by the halide bulbs!
