I'm not sure about the reflectors on the wheels. I've only ever seen this bike with the white ones, but every other DX-2000 I see has the red and orange.

Dude move your hoods down, thats gotta be annoying for braking unless you have the hands of Shaq lol.

EDIT: I see you have the bars pushed forward which explains that. I like to keep the bottom of the drops inline with the toptube but for commuting I guess it really doesn't matter.

As for pedals, I guess the Velo Orange site will come to your rescue again:
VO Road Pedals, Sealed Bearing - Pedals - Components
Simply transfer the reflectors from your existing pedals over
    Then add some clips:
MKS Deep Steel Toe Clips - Pedals - Components
These are japanese made so probably exactly what came on your bike
    and voilá

Or you can get half clips for added convenience

As for your college: does it have a little downtown with coffee shops and book stores and the like or is it pretty isolated?

What do you have in your saddle bag?

Haha Yeah I just left the handlebars how my dad always had them. I didn't move the brake levers up or anything.

We have a downtown area with a really nice bike shop. That's where I got my Gary Fisher and other stuff from. And I have the original half shoe clips. They're at home though so I won't have them for a few weeks.

The bag just has tire irons and a spare tube. I left my other tools at home.

Kind of useless without a pump or some CO2 ;)

Oh I have a small hand pump that can also use co2. It doesn't fit in the bag so I have it strapped to the pannier rack for long rides

I might lower the handlebar to. See if I like it better at a lower angle.

So I was riding back from class on Monday and had an accident as I was going from the road to the sidewalk. I got a cat scan and three stitches along my hair line. The doctor at the hospital said I had gotten a concussion when I hit the pavement. I have some burns on my right hip, elbow, and shoulder. I'm feeling much better now and will be getting the stitches removed some time on Friday. :)

I should be back on the bike in now time, which by the way, barely got a scratch on it.

    We all have those accidents.
I remember the first time I went out with clipless pedals, stopped on an incline and did one of those slo-mo comical falls.

Glad to hear you're okay though.

Wearing a Helmit by any chance?

Glad you had no serious injuries

I wasn't wearing a helmet because I can't find one that fits properly over dreadlocks. That won't be an issue much longer though as I have to cut them for my summer job.

    Thanks, I got lucky.

    Yay, stitches are out.

Dad came today and I got some stuff for the bike. I got the toe clips that are original to the bike. I got a Super Flea head light and a Superflash Turbo for the rear light.

I was going to get a helmet today, but as I suspected, even a large size adjustable one doesn't fit over dreads. I'm going to cut them and get the helmet this coming week. Either a Bontrager or Giro.
