Craftsman IMO are cheap disposable tools. Used to think they were a good deal until I bought a 1/2 swivel head that lasted a week before having to return it only to have it replaced with a used refurb that looks like its had 10 years of hard use. when working in aviation we only used snap on and Mac due to their reliability. No offense to anyone that owns them, I have some as well.

I have a lot of Craftsman tools for around the house, working on my own cars and such. I have a set for work that I bring with me as well. The set for home I've had for over 10 years, great tools...take a beating, no problem. Replaced if anything breaks, no questions asked. The set I bought for work, around 3 years ago, is another story. I have had wrenches bend, break, deform, etc. When comparing the two, my home set says Made in America. The newer set says Taiwan or Singapore. I agree that new Craftsman is junk. Also, Sears has been going out of business for a couple of years, and looks to be finalized within this year. So much for "lifetime guarantee". Snap-On makes great tools...I have a ratcheting wrench set from them.
