    As you have probably guessed from the word Ataman, I've been looking at Bubble Magus' new line of cones. Not because I am obsessed with sconers, but it is all they make for my size tank.:angry: I've heard that the PSK2500 (on the BM 180-CS-P) had a few startup issues and was not as good as its child, the PSK660. This was the main BM skimmer I was looking at, but a new BashSea skimmer (Blu-Demon) is coming out with these SICCEs as well. Most of the BM skimmers use the Atamans and I was wondering if there were any real issues besides startup, which was outlined and fixed in Matt Rogers' thread about his NAC6.
    Overall I am looking for past experience on these pumps (and maybe a tidbit on the skimmers?)

    Tagging along to read about fixes - not sure how I fixed mine but it has been behaving for a couple months now. My theory is that the replacement meshwheel I put it in has to 'break in' - not sure though. May be worth noting that when I moved I really leveled the stand too - no idea if this played a part in it. FYI - I have a NAC6 not 3. I'd like to hear what others have done..

    Ooops ::)
    Anyway I have heard that replacing it with a ViaAqua pinwheel works.

    the psk2500 is a good pump with some start up issues, i had one on an old reef octopus skimmer, it was solid for a few months then seemed to lose some juice after time---the new psk600 and psk1000 are supossed to be WAY better with zero start up issues...the skimmer i just ordered has the new psk1000 on it, im pretty sure alot of skimmer companies are switching to the new sicce's....the ataman nw is junk...more watts and terrible start up issues if it starts at all....drove me nuts! :angry:..i never used any via aquas before so i cannot comment, good luck
