These are my first corals ever coming in:

    Brain Favia
    Purple tip frog spawn
    Cryptonite trumpet
    Some richordea and musroom

I am going to water acclimate then dip with coral RX pro.

I will glue down with super glue gel / water epoxy if needed.

I am a little nervous since I haven't done this before -- Any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated.

    Biocube 14 with 3.24 upgrade 1 actinic 1 50/50 1 10k

I have already taken flow into account and have an idea where to place
I am really nervous about bleaching these Is that even a concern with PC lighting?

yes but a low concern IMO just place with the lights off after you acclimation and dip and see if the corals like it or not they will let you know. If you still like your having troubles post pick and let us give you a hand. LOL If it looks like there is some bleaching then try and back the light cycle off and see if that dosent help.

I would think you are fine. If you are still concerned about bleaching, I would either put all the corals at the bottom of the tank and then move them up to where you want them to be over several weeks. Or your other light acclimation option is to stick them where you want them first and use screening to block off some light and remove layers over a few weeks

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
For corals that are shipped I feel it's better to not drip acclimate them, just temp and sg in a timely manner.

When shipped in water the ammonia and waste accumulates, lowering the pH, you open the bag and expose it to air and the pH shifts significantly. Adding a little Prime to the shipping water can prevent this.

Very exciting about the new corals and congratulations. :)

Starting the corals on the bottom or even toward the bottom should alleviate any bleaching issues. With CF you generally do not put out enough light to burn corals. That being said there is nothing wrong with caution.

As for acclimating them, drip acclimation is GREAT> but many ppl forget to TEMP acclimate as well.

Just getting them as low as you can should be enough to ensure their smooth transition.

ok Thanks everyone -- Maybe I will run with just the 50/50 and actinic if the 10k is too harsh or just run the 10k for shortened times if I see an issue

Man I really hope I dont mess this up
