pretty neat looking fish..... here is some basic info i found

    Purple Tile Goby
Purple Tile Goby, Hoplolatilus purpureus, is an acrobatic, attractive, and active addition to either the reef or fish only aquarium.
It requires open space and does best in conditions that are not overcrowded. As with other Tilefish, the Purple Tile Goby does best in pairs or in groups.
Tilefish prefer sandy aquarium substrates and a lot of Live Rock.
They will tend to keep to themselves rather than “mingling” with other species. Groupings should be introduced together. This energetic swimmer requires frequent feedings – three or more feedings daily – because of its high metabolism.
In its darting and dashing, Tilefish do like to leap during play and, therefore, require a covered aquarium.
Its body is a variety of shades of purple. The tail is accented with deep red markings that form a contrasting “V.”
Harmless to Corals, Tilefish are carnivores who will accept about any meaty food. As a food that will add better volume to its diet, pellet, live and frozen foods are preferable to flake.

    Purple Tile Goby (Hoplolatilus purpureus)
    Family: Malacanthidae (Tilefishes)
    Natural Range: Pacific Ocean
Depth: 59 to 262 ft. Size: 5 in. Jumps: Yes Care Level: Moderate
Space: 50+ gal. Reef Safe: Yes Temperament: Peaceful.
    Diet: Zooplankton
Natural History: The Purple Tile Goby is usually found in pairs on muddy, sandy, and rubble substrate areas of steep seaward reef slopes.
Husbandry: The Purple Tilefish is a great jumper so a good hood is required on their aquarium. It should only be housed with peaceful tankmates. Acclimation may require live food. This is a burrowing species and it requires a soft substrate. It is also timid and will retreat into its burrow at any hint of danger.
