    yeah i was just searching ebay for fun for bonsai and there is bonsai trees selling for 5,000+ lol...i didnt know it was that kind of hobby...how do u you get started anyways what tools do u need? whats like the recommended starter tree/kit and how much do u guys think it will be

    The Bonsai Primer

    I haven't looked in ages, but I did book mark that site because I found it to be good. I remember that I had difficulty finding a web site that was good for beginners.

    Like reef keeping, there are a lot of sites that have good info, but they are put together about as well as GARF is, making them hard to navigate. No offence to the GARF lovers......

    I don't know of any really good websites. The web was just started up for most people when I was just getting out of the bonsai game. I found this. bonsai websites - Google Search

    It's very much like reefkeeping. If you have a local club or someone with experience who can be your mentor, you're better off.
