Anybody else have this algae?

    I've had this algae for a while, its only where the sand is pressed up against the glass. Sand is fiji pink which i love.

    only reason why i ask if anybody else has this algae is because in everybody's FTS i dont see it, so just wondering if this is a normal thing

    yea , ull get that with sand lol >,< just scrape it off once in a while

    Ya Puffer Chick, I've had that to along the sand where it makes contact with glass. I just figured it was from when I was not using RODI water though....

    in a way i kind of like it but at the same time it makes it look kind of dirty

    that looks like a rare form of christmas colors algae.. in january too.. lucky u!

    Most people have it to some extent, you can scrape it off if it bothers you.

    hahahaha thats what it reminds of :lol: with its whole red and green thing going on

    think ill just leave it, i worry about stiring up a ton of sand

    Between my sand and the glass I get this golden brown algae and i just scape it off with a razor blade.
