    yeah it would be an extra plug :( ...but if it inst covered under warrantee than it is the easiest and the cheapest way to go about fixing it. and if you plug it into the same timer as your daylight bulb than you are still using the same amount of outlets from the wall, you just have to use a splitter that gets plugged into the timer.
