    It's a striped bronze backed tree snake I believe.

    AKA know as a type of whip snake.

    Tons of different types of snakes in that part of the world. Cool that you looked first before sticking your hand in and also a cool find.

    Striped Bronze Backed snake (Dendrelaphis caudolineatus). Harmless. They feed on small lizards and mostly live in trees.Very cool pictures though. Would love to see more pictures of the many critters you have crawling around there.;D

    Thanks for that, I believe you are right. Phew at least he's a good guy :)

    Didn't set the camera up before taking the shots as I was keen to get pictures and he was keen to get away. So they are not as clear as I would have liked. Now I know he is harmless if I see him again, I will get a little closer.

    Vinny, glad to post images as there are lots around here, this is a lizard that I found in the garden before. I will post more pics if interested, but need to get the kids from school now.

    It could possibly be a painted bronze back (Dendrelaphis pictus) They look very similar.

    You are dealing with two maybe three of the biggest picture fiends on 3 reef. More!!!!LOL
    What kind of camera are you using the pictures look awesome. If I lived there I would never leave my house without my camera.:)

    And smoke, these images I duplicated the smoke and mirror imaged one image and joined it to the other with some interesting results
