I figured this as an SPS when I purchased it
but those tentacles come out when I broadcast feed the tank
thus Im thinking this may be an LPS coral?

Ok here it is again. I believe Maze coral. It is what I thought when I first saw it and now with the polyps it seems a likely choice.

    Try Psammacora or Pavona.

could it be a type of Hydnophora?

Hydno's are kind of in-between an SPS and LPS... some say that if there were a category, they may be considered "MPS" or medium polyped since their polyps are obviously larger than SPS but not as significant as LPS.

The tissue of your coral looks like it would likely color up if put under more intense lighting, as there doesn't seem to be much pigmentation showing in the picture... just my opinion though.

I have checked every name given
but the problem is this piece is so tiny, its hard to see what if either of them it is

Ill let it grow, see how it develops and hopefully one day recognise it
