    Hey guys,
Just got a Mag 7 from the local classifieds, and I am kinda confused.
I do not know if any of you have this model, but it seems to me that the flow rate cannot be adjusted. Its way too strong ( Thats what she said ;) ), I am trying to reduce it by 20 percent hopefully. it is kind of noisy as well. plz help

that trivet is great info, my pump is so quiet now after adding that. and its a mag 1800!!!! its better than any other method i tried to cut vibration noise between the pump and sump bottom.

and agreed add a ball valve thats what i have on my pump

Place a PVC ball or gate valve in the discharge line to the return. Do not place a tee in the line and bleed flow back to the sump, this is very inefficient, adds heat and uses more electricity since the pump is working harder. You can restrict or add more head with the inline ball valve and it will in no way harm the pump and it will only use the power required to do the work at hand.
