I know there a pest when there all over the place...But what about just one large one.. I was a my lfs and looked into some of there sumps. They had some growing in there bigger then i have ever seen before. They were huge. The way the look and react is pretty cool...I thought about just letting one grow.. Just one tho...anybody els try this?

I think of aiptasia kinda along the same lines as chlamydia, sure they're both a pain and I can live with them, but I dont really need either one.

The problem with just one large one is eventually it will release spores to reproduce.IMO the only good aiptasia is a dead one, however,i have always thought it would be cool to do like a little 10g aiptasia only tank.

    LOL:laughings

Seriously tho, if you could take the rock out to burn him, why not just scrub him off with a toothbrush, put salt or lemon juice in that area, and rinse the rock off with fresh saltwater.

Yes, I have one that has been in the tank for quite awhile, he is about a year or so old. I leave him along, and believe he helps to filter some of the water. One is more than enough for me.
