Rather than jailing my Coral Beauty I have decided just to give it to a local reefer in my club. So I am going back to my plan of getting a Tang to help eat some of my hair algae. My LFS normally don't have a very good selection of Tangs and I was hoping to get something more unusally than a Yellow Tang. I found these at Dr. Foster & Smith website but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them?

Their small for a Tang, colorful, and Bristletooth but I was wondering if anyone has owned one?

Nope, but I do own a zebrasoma xanthurus and boy did he get my hair algae under control.

I have read that zebrasoma flavescens is best for algae control. They have unbelieveable appetites.

If I go Zebrasoma I will probably just get a yellow tang locally I was just thinking of getting something a little unusally.

Ya that is a cool Tang. It is in the same family as a Kole or Cheveron. Very cool indeed. I have a Chev but after seening that one....
No I'd never give up my Chev but I would definatly go for something a little more unusual like that one.

I found a nice small Powder Blue Tang and when for it. It's doing good so far. I ripped out around 75# of LR to get the damn Coral Beauty out of my tank. That was fun! I added the Tang and 6 Turbo snails to the tank. So I hope I am going to be putting a real dent in the hair algae.

Cool looking fish. Have you considered the Naso Tang? They are cool looking too, and a little different

Maybe when I get that 300 gal reef. Naso are real cool but some of them get 20" long!
