Anybody see Letterman last night?

I think it is all a hoax. If you look it up he is supposedly starting a rapping career and his brother in law is shooting a document on it. From what I read some suspect this to be a Borat style documentary (or mockumentary) and who knows? If it is in true Borat style then this interview will probably make the movie. Plus, towards the end it looks like he is holding back a laugh, and chewing gum is supposed to help you hide smirks??

 

I cant see how he would do this as a hoax...
1. like said his brother died from drugs. Seems odd that he would come on national TV and pretend to be stoned
2. What would it do for his career? Even hip-hoppers (which is what he supposedly is wanting to be) can talk. He is just hurting himself if it is an act, many will never listen to it simply because of this.
3. I cant see anybody doing this and not saying at the end that it is a hoax

I am very disappointed in him...I had always liked him as an actor, but this is just bad. And if it is a hoax, shame on him! While I admit is was funny in parts, it is very sad

 

If it was not a hoax than they would not let him go on like this. It would be drama that the network would not want. I hope and think it is just him being in character for whatever he is doing. I thought the Farah Faucet comment was the only funny part.

 

I still cant see this being a hoax, like some valid points were made, one your brother died from doing something like this, and your Joaquin Phoenix, people considered him one of the better actors of his time- I like him- just dont know if I can agree with the best actor statement. But still, he has already accomplished so much, why would you throw it down the drain with a Sasha Baren Cohen stunt.

And the whole the network wouldnt let him go on like this, he was promoting an actual movie, not that he did a good job at it or anything but Im sure his people and the movie people are looking to get all the publicity they can get, good or bad, its still being talked about.

I think he needs help, or this could be the worst and most pointless hoax ever. I do feel bad for him if he does have a problem,
but letterman was definently on his A game.
