    Solar tubes are cool. Ever see pics of that dudes several thousand gallon tank that ws lit by many solar tubes, on top of halides? He had his tank aquascaped in many piles, each was under a solar tube and halide. Really cool open tank.

    It looks like a good Idea if you can get the tubes to the tank. I have 12 foot cielings so I will never be able to do that.

    Cool tubes I know what I am getting if I ever buy a house. My Acro is now growing faster than it every has. On the down side I bleached my pectina :eek: but caught it fast enough that I managed to save it. I moved it out of the sunlight. The color is starting to come back. I am going to get some pics taking as soon as I switch everything around to the final setup. BTW Skennelly that RC link is cool thanks!

    wow thats crazy, i always thought of it but I never thought any actually pulled it of. Actually my idea was for the summer fill one of those kiddy pools with saltwater...and see if that would work

    Hey Gresham my inspiration for trying this was the 2000G plus tank that was the tank of month in Coral the magazine. It was 23' long had skylights all around it and only had 4 400W MH to back up the sunlight! Anyone else see that tank?
