this is on your 55 correct? if so how do you find the setup? I'm about to upgrade my 25 into my 55 and this is the setup i was going to go for between 4 and 6 T5's. Do you have any corals? how about some pics?

2x14K with 2x420 is what I would run. Regardless of the rating get UVL bulbs.

I run 2x10k (way too yellow for me) and 2x460 kind of super blue

They were stock and I figured I'd use them first and wait to swap them when they 'expire' to save money since they do work.

I plan on swapping to 2x14k Or 2x18k and 2x420 to get a more purple look.

    I have a 60 gal, and run the 216 watt T5 HO's, Plus 260 watts PC..
Not sure about the bulbs.. But it does look good.. And with the T5's I can grow corals I couldn't with just the PC's.. And the T5's bring out the color alot better..
    I really like the T5's..

    Later, Larry

Ya this is on my 55. I found the set up online. but i bought mine used from a friend. If you can hang you 6 bulb unit from the ceiling deff go with 6. but if you cant the 6 bulb unit im pretty sure is to wide for the legs to work on the skinny 55, or is it not a 48" long tank?

skip the 55 and go right to a 75. 55 is too narrow front to back.
