Man this is the first time I've owed taxes at the end of the year since I've been married. Figured I'd make this a place to vent about the cost of overpaying and padding the pockets of our country's politicians.

    Let em' have it.

I'm not telling you guys what I'm going to do with the check I have to mail my ole buddy uncle sam.

No politics and no religion, Taxes though may be a different story.
Remember you never get something for nothing. My son paid in $500.00 in taxes this year and expects to get a $600 rebate check. I asked him where he thought the money was coming from? The money tree? Anybody know where this tree is? We're all gonna have to pay for this sooner or later. And yes I paid over $10,000 in taxes this year and they can keep the $1200.00 they want to give me. :)

Being self employed I pay every Quarter and then again at April 14th for any short comings in the estimates. If you are not self employed or a sub-contractor(1099 forms) your employer is not withholding enough tax. I always tell my single employees to fill out their W-4 as single with no deductions this removes more of a tax from each weekly check. But gives them a much larger refund at the end of the year. Alittle each week does not hurt and a larger refund enables you to have a better bonus. Yes it is held without interest but what single person is inclined to be disciplined about their savings under the age of 40? This is something I feel should really be addressed in schools and at home is money management. I'll get off my soap box now
