Anyone feed their corals weird things?

I know it sounds dumb, but the other night I was taking out this bristlework from my tank. He was about 2 inches long and it slipped from my tweezers and landed into my acan. At first I wanted to leave it in there because the acan took to the worm really fast (I even had a hard time pulling the worm out), but wasn't sure if the acan would get hurt. Anyone feed their corals bristleworsm?

So what other weird things has everyone else fed their corals? Accident or not?

 

My corals like midnight snacks of cocoa puffs and lucky charms.

 

Mine eat paint chips, just like me!

 

I'm not sure about acans specifically but I would assume so. Polychaete worms are regular food for coral on the reef I believe. 2" may have been a larger than normal meal for an acan polyp though hehe.

Honestly, I ket the thought linger in my head for about 10 seconds before pulling the worm out of the Acan and he already had about 1/4" of the worm down the hatch! : )

 

Not anymore for my corals. I got tired of my kids putting mcdonalds fries and chicken nuggets in there. So we have a strict "No Non-organic food" policy for our tank now. : )

 

When i go to red lobster, i always bring home the crab knuckles and feed that to all my fish and corals.

 

Bad idea. Many shellfish are soaked in a type of phosphate to add weight.

 

Ive been doing it for a while with no add verse affects yet, i take the meat out of the shell, but yea so far so good lol maybe i should rethink this thou huh
