    Hi everyone.

I'm trying to decide what kind of sand to order for my new 90G.

I've had algae problems with my previous tank, so this is going to be a high flow tank.

I love the look of a bright white sand bed, and I am tempted to order this:

Nature's Ocean Marine White Sand at PETCO

It is quite affordable too. However, I don't want a huge sandstorm in my tank all the time.

I've heard good things about MarcoRocks' sand, but the image he shows on his webpage makes the sand look like it's quite brown. Does anyone have a picture of what their sand bed looks like with this product?

I'd really really appreciate it! I want white sand, not brown! :p

It isn't very brown. However it is very fine. I have a clown who creates sand storms all the time. I really like the sand but if I had to do it over again I would add something else over it.

I had almost all the white sand from petco and it was awesome but your tank looks dirty very quickly if you dont clean often and as long as there isnt a PH pointed directly on it there shouldnt be a sand storm. I have like 60lbs of the white sand and then another 20lbs of a little heaver black and white sand now.

Lol. K+ for the pun. I'm a sucker for puns.

What is the color like though? I want something truly bright white.

Awesome. Thanks man. I care about the color more than the texture. I have 20lbs of argonite from the LFS in my 29 gallon, but it's like $25 for a 10lb bag. I need like 85lbs for my 90 gallon, so that'd be a crap ton of money!
