anyone have any coraline scrapings

    Hello fellow reefers,hope everyone had a great new year.Just wondering if anyone had any coraline scrapings they could spare,ive got a fairly new tank id like to get some purple stuff seeded in it.pm me if you can help,thanks mike in fl.::)

    HI,
    Try and find some live rock with it on it and see if they will sell you a piece.
    That stuff will grow easily, remeber that to much phos will suppress the coraline and increase the green stuff.
    I use a phos remover in my tanks from time to time to keep it under control.
    I add the phos remover to a sock and the green algae starts to bleach almost over night and the purlple stuff will grow .
    Your trace elements are important to coraline.

    i have had success taking little scrapping and rubbing it on new rocks with tweezers and it will start to grow there too.

    Sure, I have a mess you can scrape off the walls of my tank. Come by anyting and keep all you want. :tongue4: ;)
