I thought one of my sexy shrimp looked fat, but didnt pay any attention to it. I was just feeding them when I noticed a ton of little fry in the tank. They are the size of pods or so. Can't really tell the difference unless they are in open water.

Anyways, has anyone had any luck raising them? I have no clue if they can even survive nor what to feed them.

They are in my 3 gallon pico if that helps at all. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen a journal for someone attempting to breed them, but unfortunately I cannot remember what forum is was on. From what i remember he was successful but had a problem with hydroids taking of tank i believe.

    Thanks for the bump John.

I found a website about their breeding. Seems that newly hatched brine will work.

Bump for anyone with any experience!

Here's another bump for you. :)

My only experience is reading of other's experiences with a variety of shrimp species.

Unfortunately, the fry are usually fairly short-lived in the main DT once the fish find them. Some even buy mated pairs and allow them to breed there just for the free live food. It would probably help to get them into a breeder or other safe place asap.

    Congrats and good luck!

Thanks Mr. Bill. Luckily they are in my pico and they are the only inhabitants besides some snails.

I dropped in a few drops of Roti-Feast. No idea if it is small enough for them to eat or even if they will, but figured it couldn't hurt.
