    It looks like a grow light, but I guess it could be used over an aquarium. If so, I think it would need some sort of splash guard as the end caps are probably not water proof.

    It says its for aquariums and it has a 5 year warranty?

    I have lights with no splash guard....
    I cut a peice of acrylic for each end of the tank to keep salt creep
    off of the connectors....I got mine from buildyouraquarium.com 239.99 free shipping......and I agree the ones on ebay look like grow llights......
    Mine are Catalina lights....
