I like the pattern on the female.

Leopard Wrasse requires an established reef aquarium with plenty of live rock and live sand. It buries itself when it rests so it requires fine reef sand, not crushed coral. It is a very peaceful wrasse and can be housed with a wide variety of reef fish, including other small wrasse.
They will do best when introduced in groups of three or more. It eats small invertebrates (foraminiferans and amphiopods) that grow on live rock.

No personal experience, I've just heard of lots of people having them die on them even with established tanks. Make sure you note the "Expert Only" status LA gives them and do lots of research. Sorry, not super helpful, but that's all I've got! :)

I've never owned one, but I have seen one at my LFS that loved to kick a bunch of sand up as he was burying himself. This may become a nuisance in a reef tank.

They are gorgeous! But everything I've read about them says "expert only." So that scared me away!

I'm no expert but I've owned one for about 3 months and 0 problems. Even my mean trigger doesn't phase him.
