From what Ive read, they are suppose to be high output too, but they are still new to the market and Im sure not a lot of people have used them. I only started seeing them last year. The ones Ive seen are the same wattage as T5HO's. They are typically less expensive, but still to new for comparisons.

I just ordered them! WOW it took a lot of begging and compromise and paybacks ;), but they're on their way! I'll do a before pic of the tank the day I get them and an after and let you all know what difference I see. Hubby is kinda coming around to the idea that it takes more than just feeding to keep a s/w tank going. Plus I gave him a whole ambien (no I didn't slip it to him)...makes him crazy for a few min then he falls asleep. MUUUUHHAHAHAAAAAA

    Hey!

I've checked their website . I was willing to buy this nice fixture. I did some research on my own and look what I've found about Odyssea light fixtures:

After reading this stuff I will also stay away from this brand...!

    Cheers!

I read on them too Camilsky. It seems as those were all old posts and I talked to the sales person at Aqua Traders and she said they sell them everyday and that the newer versions have been fixed, so that is no longer happening. I'll take her word for it, but if they do burn my house down, I have insurance. And then I'll sue the crap out of them.:)

i've read and reread.it seems that the most dangerous part of these lights is the companies buisiness strategy.it seems they put together a light that they knew nothing about,no knowledge whatsoever about electricity or lighting and sold them to people as guinypigs to test.after the lights broke you were on your own.they sat back and waited for people to write back to complain about what was wrong with the light.they waited for people to tell them what was wrong and how to fix it.then they took their advice on the next model they made.they continued taking advice and making new models, changing their name when necessary when people quit buying, untill they have the model you see today.have they fixed all the dangers?idk, whats scary is neither do they.nor do they care.they simple continue to make money and as houses burn down they listen to why and make adjustments to lights at a convenient time.even if you could sue.can they replace my 11yr old daughter if she burned to death in my house?no.so i steered clear.i paid aroung $600 for the small frags in my tank but they are worth twice that now.no insurrance company would ever replace that.they also could not ever replace all my family photos.
