anyone keep a golden puffer

Does anybody keep golden puffers here ?

 

Are you talking about a fiji yellow puffer like this?


If so then yes I have and they are great fish as long as you have a tank large enough and a GLASS tank not acrylic as they will run there teeth up and down the tank and totally destroy an acrylic tank in a matter of days/weeks

As far as care they are super easy and LOVE meaty foods like clams on the half shell, shrimp, silversides, large mysis, cocktail shrimp and things like that "same as a trigger"
Also you HAVE to provide them food like the clams on the half shell or even full shell clams that allow them to use there hard teeth or they will grow WAY to long to the point that the fish will eventually starve because it cant eat the food anymore "ive seen it happen"

Other than that nothing special regarding care as they are super easy to take care off and very forgiving of water conditions

 

Also it's a puffer so it will eat any invertebrate it can. Huge snails pretty much are the only cleanup crew you can have.

 

I have not seen much about them on this board and I have a couple of them . Their one of my favorite fish the personality these guys have is amazing. Their like dogs that live in water. I was just look for some other guy that kept them.
