I am looking at getting a rock for the lady. The only thing left that I am concerned with is the measurements of it. Don't want it to be some really odd size or shape. Also what are the depth and table measurements? Here are the details of the one I am looking at. I have removed the size and price for privacy reasons. Hope someone can help!

Certificate: EGL Shape: Round Cut: Premium Carat:
Color: H Clarity: VS1 Regular Price:
    Wire Transfer Price:
Diamond Proportions: Measurements: 8.8-8.73-5.26 Depth Percentage: 60 % Table Percentage: 60 % Girdle: M Culet: None (Pointed) Polish: Excellent Symmetry: Excellent Fluorescence: None (Inert) Special Notes: Beautiful Cut

round cut has the best interaction given the physics of light. it has the most fire and sparkle. You can also do the reflection setting to add more fire.

I think clarity is important aswell. I prefer VVS1-VVS2, but VS1 and VS2 is good too.

Ask them to show you a Round Cut VVS and compare it to the one you picked, under different lights, you will know exactly what to get.

I would go for the best clarity rather than size. IF - Internaly flawless or F - Flawless is the best (looks like you have an LED on your finger). No point in having a big dull ass diamond lol :)

looking at them on a website, as the price is STUPID cheaper than the stores I have gone to.

All I know is to spend only as much on an engagement ring as you feel comfortable putting in a paper bag, lighting on fire, and throwing out the car window on the freeway.

Private owned Jewlry shops are better than the mall. I wouldnt trust an online one unless they have a physical showroom somewhere.

Never even gotten to that point. I have bought two engagement rings and never even made it to a wedding.

I actually wasn't trying to joke. IF I ever do it again, it will be a cheap ring. She can have an upgrade on the 5th anniversary. That's my plan at least.
