I have a chance to get a male and female pictillis anthias for about $100. I currently have a male orange lyrelail, a female lyretail anthias and 3 female disbar anthias. The male lyretail is as usual dominating toward his female. These pictillis anthias are larger that the ones I have which could be an advantage. The clerk in the store said I should be ok but I want to feel comfortable and not develope a war between males. Any help would be awesome. Check my signature and let me know.

They are usually fairly tame. Hold a mirror up to the glass and see how aggresive your current males are.

Well, I bought the pair of Pictillis Anthias from Australia for $100 and the male is somewhere in the rocks and the female is getting the usual lousy welcome from the chromis' and the Male Lyretail Anthias but the Lyertail has laid off. I'm gonna personally smack that chromis if he hurts her!
I'll keep you'all posted of further happenings and I hope to take a picture of them whenever that occurs.

Google Painted Anthias. The males are really spectacular.

They really are. Very colorful fish.
From the price i saw them for, $100 for a pair seems like a great deal.

I took some pictures of them today. They are still getting adjusted to me so I had to use the zoom to pick them up. The female is smaller than the male. Both are beautiful. When they get used to me I'll post better pictures and video. Notice the Lyretail male and female getting up close and personal.
