I am trying to find a very long syringe for feeding dendro etc at the bottom of my tank.

I have one of those 33" sea squirts but it has a turkey baster type mechanism which is a PITA as you have to hold the pressure exactly as you move from coral to coral. I want one with a syringe type mechanism

I don't know exactly what this might be called and that might be why I can't find one.

Someone posted the other day, had someone custom make some glass tubes, one straight, one bent - I can't find that thread. But that would work for me if I could just pull the syringe out of a short one and stick it in the long one.

Even if it is 30" or whatever, I'd still only need to pull in 2-3ml so shouldn't be a problem if the syringe bar thing is a lot shorter than the actual tool.

    Ideas?

never seen one, but i guess you could make one. im thinking a syringe with a some tubing attatched to the business end of the syringe and finally a thin plastic rod attached to the tubing and the syringe to keep the tube from flexing all over the place.

Are you talking something measured in feet or would something about the size of a stick of dynamite work?

if you know a vet or a breeder ask if the have an artificial insemination kit. my bro-in-law hooked me up with a few of them. it's just a syringe with a two foot pipe on it. works wonders. my tank is about 30 inches deep

I use a syringe with airline tubing attached. To keep it rigid, I attached a chop stick and a few rubber bands to the tubing.

Haha Just saw ... I must have missed a portion of the post. lol What I get for not sleeping all day.

Using a Tubing and a syringe backing might work, Most of the times Ill just use a regular turkey baster, Once you get used to using it, it becomes easy and you dont even think about what your doing.
