I keep a ReefLog on web (for self use only), which is basically a diary of all Reef Keeping Events for month, to include:

    Test results

    Water Change Dates

    Additions/Losses (Both very rare)

    Purchases

    Needs/Wanna haves

Posts on 3Reef I think are important enough to keep on hand for future reference.

(Both for main tank and Nano)

And of course, pics, pics pics...:p

Send PM if you wanna see...

Other then whats been stated, its a good idea to keep track of everything such as water tests before and after water changes. Its also a good idea to test your tank daily for a month so you know what your tank consumes on a day to day basis so you know what you need to keep an eye on. Recently a member on here wasnt thinking and added a bunch of sps coral to their tank and and didnt test very often, but never thought about those sps consuming Ca, DKH and Mg. I basically made them test their tank 2 days after adding them because I knew it had all went to hell. He tested the day he got them, Ca 450, DKH 9, Mg 1300... 2 days later, Ca 280, DKH 5, Mg 700. Thats how much it can change over 2 days. He now doses 2 part twice day for a total of 11oz of each just to keep up with what his tank consumes on a daily basis. He wouldnt know to do that unless he tested daily to figure it out.
