    This is growing on a rock that I purchased anthelia on.Does anyone know what this is and what should I do with it? thanks in advance:)

    Closer picture maybe? we are discussing the brownish growth on the rock there?
    Does not look like a bad thing...but lets hear from the rest of the crew.

    im guesing either a sponge or a shroom of some sort.

    there are some faint circular pattern with a dot in the middle and there are some fine hair like tentacle all over I thought it might be some type of encrusting coral

    I agree with the encrusting something or other.. hahaha.. If you touch the brown mystery coral is it soft or hard..? and do the polyps disapear when touched..?

    If it's soft, I would say Cauliflower colt, possiblly fragged before selling the rock if it turns white to the touch. If it's hard possiblly Porites.

    its not soft ,it felt rough when I touched it. its a very small patch maybe an inch by half inch also the circles look to be depressed
