    I looked at it again last night with a flash light and there is a green pigmentation around the edges..maybe its Psammocora superficialis ...what do you think?

    I did some more diggin around and found this link that has a more than a handful of porities colony's of differant sorts i think i found a match in here... Of course you have the determining factor here..

    And from what i see the only one that looks close is "BROWN LOBE CORAL"
    (Mokolea Islet, Oahu, 30 feet)

    I don't think it's that, If your really wanting to look and find out what it is I would try to remove it and place away from others so it can grow faster and you can see it better,I think in time you will be able to see it better as it grows.

    Reef4girl, Hi, It looks like a young Anthozoan, they come in variose colours and grow into an attractive creature. A more known name for this is Acroporo . Regards.

    thank you all for your help in trying to identify this coral.. I guess we will see when it grows larger. I will update with pics(when it grows more) on my biocube 14 thread.

    That is the same stuff <I believe> that I have it looks really kewl under the blue lights...

    looks like some sort of sponge maybe, not 100% tho
