    Why not just buy a threaded bulkheads and thread in a barbed fitting???

    I was just going to suggest what evolved did. Be sure your BH's are threaded on the ID of the "non-flanged" side.

    Why not get a normal thread x thread bulkhead and a MIP thread x barb nylon nipple? HD and Lowes as well as Ace and True Value all have barbed nipples hanging on the wall with all the other small plumbing fittings. I have bought 1/2" all the way to 1.5" at HD. Its the T x T bulkheads that were harder to find.
